Local 14 Solidarity Center Mural Rededication
Western Maine Labor Council Local 14 Solidarity Center union hall, 6 Intervale Road, Jay, Maine (corner of Routes 4 and 140)
On May Day, 2026, Western Maine Labor Council will celebrate the installation of the digital replica of the Local 14 Strike Mural, which adorned the outside of the building for nearly 40 years through and following the strike. The original mural has been restored and installed inside the hall and a digital replica now adorns the outside.
We are excited to gather to celebrate and dedicate and rededicate the murals on May Day (May 1), 2026. The public is invited to join us for food, speakers, mingling, and celebration. We've also designed a beautiful t-shirt that will be available for sale.
Event will open at 5:00 with light snacks, mingling, and opportunities to tour the hall.
Formal program will begin at 5:30 and will be followed by a meal together and more mingling and touring.
